Mountain
The state of New South Wales (NSW) is on the Australian south-east coast. It is the oldest and most populous state of Australia. Almost a third of the population lives here in and around Sydney. Sydney is not only very worthwhile to visit, even in the vicinity is plenty to do. Sydney is also the ideal city to start or end your journey through Australia.
Plateau
The Blue Mountains their name from the blue haze that hangs over the area. Other than the name and pictures suggest, the Blue Mountains is not a mountain, but a eroded plateau with spectacular cliffs and gorges. During the ride to the area, there is nothing that the area 'betrayal'. Suddenly you're there. From the different viewpoints you have a beautiful view of the jungle.

Lower Blue Mountains - Ideal for short walks in the National Park. In to see the Red Hands Cave are Aboriginal petroglyphs. Glenbrook is just 68 km from Sydney is the eastern entrance of
Blue Mountains.
Upper Blue Mountains - Leura is a nice town in the Upper Blue Mountains. From the Sublime Point, you have a beautiful view of the Jamison Valley. Katoomba is the largest city in the area. Through the main street you reach Echo Point with the famous view of the three rocky points, the Three Sisters. Keep especially in the place itself, but go area. Not want to walk down? The cable car and the Scenic Railway take you to the bottom of the valley. Or go to the Valley of the Waters at Wentworth Falls. Also nice views at Blackheath.
How to get there?
From Sydney offered different tours. But many people choose to go up from there itself with a (rental) car. In the Blue Mountains you can do besides walking too adventurous things like abseiling, canyoning, climbing and horse riding.
Kangaroo Valley
Kangaroo Valley is halfway between Sydney and Canberra capital, about 2.5 hours drive has a completely different landscape. The landscape of rolling hills with green meadows with cows are interspersed with a winding river. With a little luck you'll see a kangaroo hopping. Sydney and Melbourne envied each other the honor to be the capital of Australia and therefore was built halfway up a new city: Canberra State Australian Capital Territory (ACT). It is the smallest state of Australia. Canberra means very appropriate meeting in the language of the local Aborigines.
