Banjul is well worth a visit. There is a colorful market, the Albert Market. This market has everything you'd expect from a traditional African market. Batik fabrics and handbags in the shop to the pyramids of citrus dangerous balancing on the sidewalk. It's a great place to soak up the atmosphere and to pick up a bargain. Do not be afraid to bargain if the price is too high. The National Museum is the main museum which Gambia has a wide range of historical and archaeological objects over the people and the area, including the period of British colonial rule. The museum dates back to 1982 and is a major cultural attraction and also has some photos and maps in its collection.
Gambia is mostly visited because of its beautiful beaches and even climate. One thing that everyone should do during their vacation is a trip on the River Gambia. Regular transport ships and passenger boats upstream, where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of more than 300 different species of wild animals. Many visitors choose to sail in traditional flat-bottomed boats, which are locally known as "pirogues. Experienced guides lead you through beautiful mangroves, rice fields and marshes and point out different birds like flamingos and pelicans. There is also the chance to antelope, baboons, hippos, warthogs and maybe even see dolphins.
