New Zealand (English: New Zealand, Maori: Aotearoa) is a country and also island territory in the Pacific Ocean (Oceania) which consists of two large islands North Island and South Island and several smaller islands. New Zealand is independent from the UK since 1907. The capital of New Zealand is Wellington. A number of major cities in New Zealand: Auckland, Christchurch, Waitakere, Manukau, Hamilton and Tauranga.

New Zealand is mostly known for its beautiful nature. There are glaciers, mountain ranges, forests, rocks, lakes, geysers and volcanoes. The coastline is characterized by beautiful sandy beaches. Animals found in New Zealand, among others, whales, dolphins, penguins, seals and many rare bird species. Popular sports in the country are rugby, cricket and golf.
