Ethiopia ( Amharic: ኢትዮጵያ ?,'Ītyōṗṗyā) is a country in Africa that borders on Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya and Sudan. Ethiopia is independent of Italy since 1941. The capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. A number of major cities in Ethiopia are: Gondar (Gonder), Adama, Dire Dawa, Mekele, Bahir Dar and Harar.
Ethiopia is known for its nature. In the country are 14 National Parks to be found. In the National Parks you can find rare species, such as lions, hippos, leopards, elephants, zebras and hyenas. Furthermore you will find waterfalls, volcanoes, mountains, salt lakes, hot springs and ravines. The country also has several deserts. In some of these deserts are still nomadic tribes for. is also known the Tana Lake. In this lake there are 37 islands showing monasteries where you can sail around in boats. Furthermore you can find 99 mosques in the city of Harar. These mosques represent the 99 names of Allah
