Congo (DRC) (Democratic Republic of the Congo, French: République démocratique du Congo) is a country in Africa which borders Congo, the Central African Republic, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and Zambia. Until 1960 Congo was a Belgian colony, known as the Belgian Congo. Then the country has borne the name Zaire. The capital of Congo's Kinshasa. A number of major cities in Congo-Kinshasa: Bandundu, Bakuva, Ilebo, Isiro and Kananga.
Congo is known for its beautiful nature with volcanoes, mountains, jungles, waterfalls and tropical rainforests. Two major National Parks in Congo are the Virunga National Park and the Garamba National Park. Animals that live in the country, inter alia, rhinos, elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras, crocodiles and endangered gorillas. Congo-Kinshasa life also various tribes in the wilderness. Unfortunately in recent years the country is not safe, because rebels are active in some areas.
