Building Structures Of The Mendut Temple

Mendut temple has a rectangular ground-plan. 26.40 m high building entirely. The body of this temple stands on high base 2 m. On the surface there is shelf corridor is quite wide and is equipped with a ledge. The foot wall of the temple is decorated with 31 panels containing various pieces of narrative reliefs, sculptured flowers and tendrils good.

In some places along the outer wall of the ledge there jaladwara or channel to remove water from the breezeway. Jaladwara found in most temples in Central Java and Yogyakarta, as in temple Barabudhur, Banyuniba Temple, Prambanan and Ratu Boko. Jaladwara in every temple has a different shape.

 The stairs leading to the hall is located on the west side, right in front of the entrance to the temple room. The entrance to the temple room is equipped with booths viewer that juts out. All around the cubes are decorated with 48 small stupas. The peak of the roof had not left so unknown original form. Engraving embossing or relief panels on the east wall of the temple depicts Bodhisattva (Mansjuri and Samanthabadra), known by the umbrella he was carrying.
